Maria Gown

The gown is cut in a slim, strapless column silhouette from recycled wool, printed throughout with a muted, painterly floral motif in earthy browns, moss greens, and faded ochres. The fabric is shaped close to the body, creating a soft drape through the skirt while maintaining a structured, elongated line.

The back of the gown is fully corseted from the upper back down through the length of the dress. Dyed strings are threaded through the corset lacing, creating a textured, trailing detail that extends beyond the body of the garment. These cords continue to wrap around the wearer’s hands and wrists, allowing the gown to be adjusted and controlled through movement. As the wearer walks, the strings tighten, loosen, and shift the shape of the dress, making the garment feel interactive and alive. The exposed lacing and trailing ties contrast with the otherwise minimal front, giving the piece a raw, deconstructed finish.
